Studies have shown that with an high amount of alcohol, one will have difficulty getting good rest, mainly due the fact that REM is harder to achieve with an excessive amount of alcohol. Without Rapid Eye Movement, even though one may be sleeping, you brain isn’t getting quality rest, and is also unable to dream or relax. When this happens, regardless of the amount one may have slept, they often feel tired, and experience drowsiness.
Increased heart rate: you should be very aware of this symptoms, and it can be very scary. Even though this is commonly associated with hangover, it’s not a good or healthy sign. Increased heart rate indicates that your heart is working overtime to deal with the alcohol concentration that’s in your system, the harder it works, the more rapid your heart rate will be. If you experience an increase in heart rate during a night of drink, stop immediately. And if the rapid heart rate continues, see a doctor right away.
